Sleep. We need it and we love it! Unfortunately, we don’t get much of it when we have a newborn baby. Sleep deprivation is an inevitable part of new parenthood. Finding the right place for your baby to sleep— wherever that may be— will help give you a peace of mind and more quality sleep. Creating an ideal sleep environment and keeping baby at a comfortable temperature through the night will help him or her sleep better.
Baby Sleep Spots
Where will your baby sleep? Many people prefer to start baby off in the same room as the parents: a portable bassinet, bed-side sleeper or some form of bed-sharing. Eventually, your baby will likely move on to the crib. In addition to choosing a crib, you’ll have to choose a crib mattress.
Baby Sleep Stuff
You’ll want some things to keep baby warm, help them sleep better and potentially see or hear them without walking into their room. In the early days, you will be doing lots of laundry so you will definitely want lots of blankets. I also recommend looking at swaddles and wearable blankets.
